LinkedTeens Terms of Use

1. About LinkedTeens

LinkedTeens, available at linkedteens.club, is an independent student initiative founded by Daniela, a high school senior in Ponte Vedra, Florida, in connection with her Lift Up Club initiative. Its purpose is to help students discover clubs, resources, and opportunities related to their interests.

LinkedTeens is operated by Fernanda Barrera (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It is not an official school service and is not sponsored or endorsed by any school, school district, or listed organization unless expressly stated.

These Terms govern your use of the website and its features (the “Service”). Please read them before submitting information or using interactive features. Our separate Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

2. Eligibility and permission

You must be at least 13 years old to submit personal information or participate through the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate.

Do not misrepresent your age. Children under 13 must not submit names, email addresses, photographs, interests, or other personal information.

A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 has submitted information should contact daniela@linkedteens.club so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

3. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, you may provide your name, email address, username, interests, and an optional profile photograph.

You agree to provide accurate information and submit only information you are authorized to share. A profile photograph is optional; if you provide one, you must have the necessary rights and permissions to use it.

Do not share your password or submit government identification numbers, financial information, home addresses, or confidential information about yourself or others in profile fields or messages.

Keep your login credentials private and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Interests and recommendations

LinkedTeens may use the interests you submit to suggest relevant clubs, resources, or opportunities.

Suggestions are provided for informational purposes. They do not guarantee that an opportunity is suitable, available, safe, or that you will be accepted. Confirm important information directly with the relevant organization and involve a parent or guardian when appropriate.

5. Information submitted by clubs

Anyone submitting information on behalf of a club must be authorized to do so.

Club representatives are responsible for the accuracy of their descriptions, contact information, eligibility requirements, deadlines, links, and other materials. They must obtain permission before sharing another person’s information, photograph, or work.

Listing a club does not mean LinkedTeens endorses it or verifies every statement it makes. Each club remains responsible for its activities, supervision, membership decisions, and communications.

6. Community standards

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, discriminate against, or impersonate anyone.
• Submit sexually explicit material or content that exploits or endangers minors.
• Use the Service to groom, manipulate, or solicit minors for exploitative purposes.
• Publish someone else’s private information without authorization.
• Submit unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or infringing content.
• Use student information for spam, unauthorized marketing, or unrelated solicitation.
• Collect, scrape, or download personal information in bulk.
• Attempt to access another person’s account or interfere with the Service’s security or operation.

Report inappropriate content, inaccurate club listings, or safety concerns to daniela@linkedteens.club.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the materials you submit.

You grant LinkedTeens a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, format, and display those materials only as needed to provide the Service, consistent with the visibility explained when you submit them and in our Privacy Policy.

This permission does not authorize unrelated use of your photograph or content in advertising.

You may request removal of your content by contacting us. We may retain limited copies when required by law or for legitimate security purposes, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and delete personal information, including submitted interests.

These Terms do not replace that policy or any separate consent required by law. Permission to participate is not automatically permission to make a student’s personal information publicly available.

9. External websites and activities

The Service may link to club websites, application forms, events, or other third-party services. Those services have their own rules and privacy practices.

LinkedTeens does not control third-party services or independently organized activities. Before participating or submitting information elsewhere, verify the organization and review its requirements with a parent or guardian when appropriate.

10. Moderation and access

We may remove submissions or restrict access when reasonably necessary to address violations of these Terms, inaccurate information, security concerns, or risks to students.

You may contact daniela@linkedteens.club to request a review of a moderation decision.

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your submitted information.

11. Website ownership

The LinkedTeens name, original website design, software, and original materials belong to their respective owners and are protected by applicable law.

You may not reproduce or distribute these materials without permission except as permitted by law. This does not affect your ownership of your own content or the ownership of club names, logos, and materials.

12. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide useful information, but the Service may contain errors, outdated listings, or interruptions.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, or particular results.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your nonwaivable legal rights.

13. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms. The current Terms will display their effective date. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes and request new agreement when legally required.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable United States federal law and Florida law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you.

If a concern arises, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from exercising legal rights or contacting an appropriate authority.
